Solarweave fabric is lightweight, washable, breathable and cottony soft. Solarweave rates Excellent UV Protection. All colors are tested and meet or exceed AATCC 183 and ASTM D6544 & ASTM D6603 Standards; are certified by the International UV Testing Laboratories; and are rated UPF 50+ (Ultraviolet Protection Factor 50+) Solarweave is a sun-protective fabric which blocks 95- 99% of the suns harmful UVA and UVB rays. It is highly breathable and non-irritating, even to sensitive skin. The Solarweave Buckle Tai is constructed to keep your baby cool in the heat of summer as well as offering protection from the sun. Solarweave is a very strong fabric but with a soft cotton like feel. It is very quick drying and is the ideal hot weather baby carrier for the pool, the beach, and other hot, hot outings! We do not recommend swimming with a baby in a carrier, ever! But the Solarweave Buckle Tai is appropriate for playing in the pool or water. The Solarweave Buckle Tai is constructed of 3 layers of solarweave for strength with light padding in the waist and shoulders for quick-drying comfort. Shoulder straps are about 20 inches long with 24 inches of webbing, and the waist is about 22 inches long with about 40 inches of webbing. The sleep hood is about 12 inches by about 10 inches.
